1-Is it permissible to pray with an uncovered head?

It is permissible to pray with an uncovered head, and the prayer of one who prays without a turban is valid, and there is no disagreement among scholars regarding this. Some people may place something on their heads for prayer, which might suggest that praying without a turban is impermissible or less virtuous, but this is incorrect. All narrations regarding the virtue of praying with a turban are not authentically established. Whoever wishes to emulate the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in wearing a turban, should wear it in all his normal circumstances, including prayer, because wearing a turban is among the customary practices [Sunan al-Aadaat]. And whoever habitually uncovers his head, let him pray in his usual state, and not specifically wear a turban for prayer, unless it is for the purpose of adorning oneself.
