Is it permissible for a Muslim, when joyful, to express gratitude to God by praising Him and looking up at the sky and sending a kiss towards it, with the intention of glorifying and thanking God?

Praising Allah the Almighty for His blessings is a religiously commanded act. It has been reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would raise his gaze to the sky when praising Allah and on many occasions, which indicates the permissibility of doing so. As for pointing to the sky with a kiss, this has no basis in Islamic law and is considered an innovation in religion, because every act that is not commanded by the religion is rejected.
