Is a wife rewarded for continuing in a marriage where her husband demeans and abandons her and marries another, given her fear for her children from divorce and their being affected by the father's behavior?

If a husband abandons his wife and insults her without just cause, she has the right to seek divorce due to harm. However, patience with him is preferable and brings great reward, for divorce is disliked in Islamic law and should not be resorted to unless all attempts at reconciliation have failed. It is advised to be patient and strive to reform the husband and reach an understanding with him. If the situation persists and reconciliation becomes impossible, she may refer the matter to the Sharia courts to secure her rights and the rights of her children.
