What should a religiously committed young man do when his father works in selling alcohol and gambling, mocks him for his commitment, has brought him to America, and he fears for his religion and future?

Your steadfastness is a blessing from Allah that necessitates gratitude and preservation. The right of a parent to dutifulness does not fall away due to corruption or weakness in faith. You must continue to advise him with gentleness and supplicate for his guidance. It is not permissible to obey a parent in that which angers Allah or to participate with him in a forbidden act, for obedience is only in what is recognized as good. If you can convince him to travel to a Muslim country, that is preferable. Otherwise, strive to preserve your religion by seeking righteous companionship, attending gatherings of knowledge, and learning matters of your faith. Do not pay attention to anyone's mockery, trust in your religion, and rise above with your faith. And whoever relies upon Allah, He is sufficient for him.
