The basic ruling regarding musical instruments is prohibition, and nothing deviates from this principle except what is indicated by evidence, such as the "daf" (hand drum) which the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, permitted. If the "darbuka" is considered a daf, then its use is permissible; otherwise, it is safer to avoid it. It is forbidden for men to derive pleasure from the sound of a woman singing. If you know or predominantly believe that men will listen to your voices while singing, then it is not permissible. The ruling on recording a voice depends on the ruling of the voice itself. If the voice is permissible and it is not predominantly believed that someone to whom it is unlawful will listen to it, then recording it is permissible; otherwise, it is not. It is permissible for a woman to wear trousers in front of women if they are modest, loose-fitting, and there is no fear of temptation or imitation of men.
