Was Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, the first to memorize the Qur'an after the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?

There is no evidence indicating who was the first to memorize the Qur’an after the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him. Both Ali and the Rightly Guided Caliphs were memorizers of the Noble Qur’an. It has not been reported that Ali was the first to memorize the Qur’an. Rather, it has been reported that the first to memorize the Qur’an during the time of the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, were: Sa’d ibn Ubayd, Ubayy ibn Ka’b, Mu’adh ibn Jabal, Zayd ibn Thabit, Abu Darda, Abu Zayd, Majma’ ibn Jariyah, and Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hudhayfah.
