The answer

is obligatory on trade goods, including camels, if their value reaches the (minimum threshold) and a full hawl (lunar year) has passed. The consideration is the value and the passing of the year, not their number. So, if the value of the camels reaches 85 grams of gold or 595 grams of silver, and a full hawl has passed, then Zakat is due on them at a rate of one-quarter of a tenth (2.5%), even if they are fewer or more than five. Ibn Uthaymeen mentioned that Zakat may be obligatory on a single sheep or a single camel if its value reaches the nisab, for what is considered in trade goods is their value.
