Is zakat obligatory on the owner of camels who feeds them most or all days of the year, and does not keep them for trade, but hopes to sell one or two of them for a large sum?

The majority of scholars hold that zakat is not obligatory on livestock if they are fed most of the year. According to Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen, camels that graze for five months and are fed for seven months are not subject to zakat, and similarly, if they graze for six months and are fed for six months. However, if they graze throughout the year, or graze for seven months and are fed for five months, then zakat is obligatory on them. Based on this, zakat is not obligatory on camels not intended for trade if their owner feeds them for most or all days of the year.
