Does a divorce that was issued in a state of extreme anger over a matter that would not materialize until after a period of time take effect, and is expiation required for it?

Anger does not prevent the occurrence of divorce unless it is so severe that the divorcer loses consciousness, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "There is no divorce and no manumission in a state of closure (i.e., coercion or loss of awareness)." As for swearing by divorce and then breaking the oath, the majority of scholars believe that divorce occurs. However, others are of the view that it results in a single revocable divorce if the one who swore intended to bring about divorce; otherwise, he must offer expiation for an oath.
