What should I do about my oath not to ride my wife’s car after I said: "The limit of Allah is between me and riding this car, and even looking at it," and the problem has now been resolved?

"Whoever says, 'The boundary of Allah is between me and my riding the car…' intending thereby to forbid himself from riding it, then this falls under the ruling of an oath. If he rides it, he must offer expiation for breaking an oath. Allah, the Almighty, says: ﴿O Prophet! Why do you forbid [yourself] that which Allah has made lawful for you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. Allah has already ordained for you [believers] the dissolution of your oaths. And Allah is your Protector, and He is the All-Knower, the All-Wise.﴾ [At-Tahrim: 1-2]. So, whoever forbids something lawful to himself other than his wife, it is an oath. The expiation for breaking an oath is: freeing a slave, or feeding ten needy persons, or clothing them. If one cannot find any of these, then he must fast for three days. Thus, if you wish to ride the car, you must offer expiation for breaking an oath."
