Is it permissible to wear ties made of 100% silk if they are a gift, and what is the difference between "libas" (clothing) and "rish" (adornment) concerning ties?

It is forbidden for men to wear neckties made of pure, natural silk, due to the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, these two are forbidden for the males of my nation." However, if they are made of synthetic silk, or if the natural silk content is small, there is no objection to wearing them. The forbidden neckties can be utilized by disassembling them and using the material for women's clothing. Clothing is what covers the 'awrah and clothes the body, while reesh (plumes/adornments) is what is taken for beautification and adornment. Neckties fall under reesh, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: {O Children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your nakedness and as adornment [reesh]}.
