How can we verify that the narration of hadiths has not changed, considering that Al-Bukhari collected them approximately 180 years after the death of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and is there a possibility of their wordings changing when transmitted from one narrator to another?

Allah has guaranteed the preservation of the Qur’an and the Sunnah from alteration and change. The Sunnah is preserved because it is revelation and an explainer of the Qur’an. Several factors have contributed to the preservation of the Sunnah, including: Allah’s safeguarding of His religion, the devotion of the Companions and their successors (Tabi'in) in memorizing and transmitting hadith, the codification of the Sunnah since the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him, the strictness of the Hadith scholars in accepting narration by meaning, the multiplicity of Hadith transmission chains, and the science of Hadith criticism. Furthermore, the multiplicity of narrations for a single Hadith may be due to the Prophet's varied wording or the repetition of an event.
