Is it permissible for a mother to appear before her 14-year-old son's friends without covering her head, knowing that they come to the house to study or play?

It is not permissible for a woman to appear before the aforementioned young men because some of them are adults or discerning adolescents capable of perceiving a woman's form. Allah has forbidden this, saying: (And not expose their adornment except to their husbands... or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women) [An-Nur: 31]. The child referred to in the verse is one who does not understand the affairs and private parts of women. As for an adolescent who understands such matters, it is not permissible for him to enter upon women.
