What is the ruling concerning the sacrifice of a black goat that some people purchase with money they collect every year, slaughtering it for the sake of Allah, mentioning His name over it, without a designated place for slaughter, but rather it is slaughtered in one of their homes every year?

Slaughtering a black sheep every year and gathering for it is feared to fall into innovation (bid‘ah), as the Law (Shar‘) did not specify the black color. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sacrificed a white ram (kabsh amlah). Specifying a black sheep for slaughter is an act of sorcerers and charlatans who seek closeness to jinn. Continuing this practice gives the impression that it is legislated, and innovations arise from such things. Their action is closer to innovation, so beware of them and do not eat from their slaughtered animals until you know their true nature.
