How does Islam deal with infectious diseases and their prevention? Are there any surahs in the Holy Quran that address preventive measures to combat infection, similar to the "Book of Leviticus" among the Jews?

One should anticipate ailments and infectious diseases, as indicated by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Do not put a sick person with a healthy one," and "Flee from the leper as you flee from a lion." We believe that diseases do not inherently transmit infection, based on his saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "There is no 'Adwa (transmission of disease) and no Tiyaara (superstitious belief in evil omens)." However, Allah has made them transferable, placing within them causes for disease transmission through contact. Thus, a person should avoid the causes by which disease is transmitted. Everything occurs by Allah's divine decree and destiny, and Allah has condemned those who practice Tiyaara. The evidence is clear that diseases transmit with Allah's permission upon contact, and sometimes contact may occur without infection, by Allah's grace.
