Did Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen permit eating frogs and crocodiles?

Firstly, Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen holds that the crocodile is permissible to eat, based on the general import of the verse: "Permitted for you is sea catch and its food as provision for you and for travelers" (Al-Ma'idah/96). He believes that an aquatic animal with fangs used for preying differs in ruling from its terrestrial counterpart, such as the shark.

Secondly, he views the frog as unlawful due to the Prophet's prohibition, peace and blessings be upon him, against killing it, and because the frog is not purely aquatic but rather an amphibian, thus not falling under the general scope of the verse in Al-Ma'idah.
