What is the ruling on insisting on impossible conditions—such as buying a house and holding the wedding ceremony in the city—to complete a marriage to a girl, knowing that these conditions cannot be met, and is it permissible to inform the girl's family again that these conditions cannot be met?

First: If your fiancée holds beliefs of a sect outside of Islam, marriage to her is not permissible. However, if she belongs to one of the deviant sects, marriage to her is permissible, but with caution. It is preferable to marry a woman of strong religious commitment.

Second: It is not permissible to hold a wedding ceremony if it includes forbidden acts such as singing, dancing, and intermingling of sexes. If the bride's family insists on a ceremony free from sins, then two short ceremonies can be held: one at the bride's family's home and another at your family's home.

Third: The bride's family does not have the right to stipulate the purchase of a house unless it is for their daughter, or if they are acting on her behalf. The wife, or her guardian acting on her behalf, has the right to stipulate residing in a specific area, and this condition must be fulfilled. It is not a condition that the house be owned; rather, you can rent it.
