Is it permissible to validate the sale of an iPhone with the condition that it not be sold or lent to others, due to the seller's concerns about the retrieval of private files that were on the device?

The majority of scholars are of the opinion that stipulating a condition against selling is invalid because it contradicts the very essence of the sale. Some among them said: the sale is valid but the condition is void, while others said: the sale itself is originally void. However, Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn 'Uthaymeen hold the view that such conditions are valid if they serve an interest for the seller or the sold item and do not contradict Islamic law.
