What is the religious ruling on using the "Haras" made of fishing lines and metal pieces, which is wrapped around the waist of those about to get married to prevent binding or any harm, whether the user believes it prevents harm and brings benefit, or uses it as a custom without belief?

"Al-Ḥaras" refers to a type of amulet that Islam has abolished because it contradicts the doctrine of Tawḥīd (monotheism), for benefit and harm are in the hand of Allah alone. Whoever believes in its benefit has fallen into shirk (definition) (polytheism). Wearing amulets is a void custom, even if there is no belief associated with it, because it contradicts the Sharīʿah (Islamic law) and leads to imitating people of falsehood.
