Why did Allah create evil, seeing that He is the Creator of everything, and how can He command us to do good when He is the Creator of evil?

One must submit to the decrees of Allah and believe in divine preordainment, both good and bad. This is a fundamental principle of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah (People of the Sunnah and the Community). It is not befitting to describe Allah as intending evil for His servants, even though He is their Creator, as in His Almighty saying: "And when I am ill, it is He who cures me," and His saying: "And indeed, we do not know whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them guidance." And in the Hadith: "Evil is not attributed to You." All of Allah's actions are good and wise, and there is absolutely no evil in them. Although evil may appear in His decrees and effects from the perspective of creation, they are good when attributed to Allah, because Allah only decreed them for a wise purpose. Allah Almighty has guided us not to delve into such questions, saying: "He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned."
