Is honoring one's parents among the reasons for an increase in sustenance?

Obeying God's commands and abstaining from His prohibitions are among the causes of an abundance of sustenance. The greatest of these is honoring one's parents, for Allah has coupled His worship with kindness to them. And maintaining kinship ties in general is among the causes of an abundance of sustenance, as it is stated in the Hadith (definition): "Whoever wishes that his sustenance be expanded and his life prolonged, let him maintain ties of kinship." If maintaining ties of kinship expands sustenance, then how much more so will honoring parents, who are the root of kinship.
