What is the ruling on my attending meetings and honor ceremonies at a foreign company where alcohol is served?

Allah has blocked all avenues leading to corruption because they lead to forbidden acts. This includes being present in places where alcoholic beverages are consumed. Such presence carries several prohibitions, including remaining silent about denouncing evil, which can lead to condoning it, and being in a place where Allah is disobeyed. Allah Almighty says: "And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the recollection with the wrongdoing people." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, also forbade sitting at a table where alcohol is served.
