Is the wife considered divorced if the husband uttered the divorce under duress and did not authenticate it in court and is trying to reconcile with her?

If the husband pronounces divorce, whether explicitly or implicitly with intention, his divorce is effective even if not documented. The wife erred in refusing reconciliation; she should have hastened to it.

If the husband takes back his wife before the 'iddah (waiting period) ends, she returns to his marital bond, provided this divorce does not complete the third (and final) divorce. The wife's consent or knowledge is not required for the رجعة (revocation of divorce), nor does it need a guardian or a new mahr (dowry).

The 'iddah ends with purification from the third menstrual period after divorce, or upon giving birth, or after the passage of three months for a woman who does not menstruate. If the 'iddah ends before reconciliation, she does not become lawful for him except through a new marriage contract.
