The adopted view of the Hanbali school is that it is obligatory to wash the (pre-seminal fluid) from clothes seven times. There is another narration that permits sufficing with sprinkling (nadh), and in this case, the spot becomes pure by sprinkling, and the persistence of its trace does not matter. There is no difference between dry and wet (madhy).
