And the provision of your Lord is better and more lasting"?

Watching clips that include luxurious cars and worldly possessions is not absolutely condemned; rather, it is condemned if it is done with an attitude of glorification for these worldly possessions, and with attachment to them and to glorifying their owners. So, looking at worldly possessions with love and glorification is forbidden, unlike looking with contemplation and for lessons. Indeed, extending one's gaze towards the splendor of worldly life has been forbidden, and "do not extend" is more emphatic than "do not look," for extending the gaze implies continuity and admiration. The prolonged gaze is condemned, unlike the unprolonged gaze, which is excused, such as someone who accidentally sees something and then lowers their gaze. The pious have been strict in lowering their gaze from the buildings of oppressors and the equipment of the wicked.
