Is Sham still a blessed land, despite the prevalence of corruption and the lack of religiosity among most of its people, as mentioned in the Prophetic hadiths?

Allah has specifically blessed Sham (the Levant) with blessings in this world and the hereafter, as mentioned in the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Ahadith. Among these is His (the Almighty's) saying: "Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed for blessings for Sham and Yemen, and he mentioned that earthquakes and tribulations would be in Najd. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, also clarified that faith would be in Sham when tribulations occur, and that it is the core home of the believers and Allah's chosen land. Goodness will remain among its people until the end of time. Indeed, the corruption of the people of Sham affects the entire Ummah.
