What is the ruling on killing a stray, harmful dog that obstructs the path of passersby and causes panic, taking into consideration that the husband insists on killing it with poison, and the wife fears Allah's punishment?

If the harm and nuisance caused by a dog are established, it is not permissible to kill it if its harm can be averted by means other than killing. However, if its harm and nuisance cannot be averted except by killing, then there is no objection to that.
