Is not the punishment of stoning for the fornicator a gradual torment and death that contradicts the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "When you kill, kill well"? And why was the ruling of stoning not mentioned in the Qur’an?

Stoning for married adulterers is established by the practical Sunnah, and it is a decisive legal ruling that blocks the means to corruption, such as the mixing of lineages and the spread of epidemics. Allah has permitted a husband to marry up to four women, and a wife to seek separation in case of harm, which makes the punishment of stoning necessary, as there is no justification for mitigating it after these facilitations. Ibn al-Qayyim explained that the adulterer commits adultery with his entire body, and therefore his punishment is comprehensive pain, and that adultery is one of the greatest crimes due to its causing the mixing of lineages and the destruction of crops and offspring. Reason and scripture agree on the necessity of punishment for adulterers, and one should not listen to the objections of those who aim to disable the legal Hadd punishments.
