A small amount of semen necessitates ghusl, and it has three signs; the presence of any one of them is sufficient to indicate that it is semen: exiting with desire followed by enervation, or a smell resembling that of a date palm spathe, or exiting with gushing, spurting, and in bursts. If semen exits with desire, it necessitates ghusl, even if no enervation occurs afterward, or if its exit is not gushing.
