Is it permissible for a woman to request that the name of her martyr husband be inscribed on her grave instead of her last name?
It is disliked to execute a will that involves a disliked matter. Writing on graves is forbidden by Islamic law, based on the hadith narrated by Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) "forbade plastering a grave, sitting on it, building over it, and writing on it." If a woman is united with both of her husbands in Paradise, she will be with the last of them. Therefore, it is not advisable to execute this will.
