Does a triple divorce, repeated in a message with the intention of reconciliation before the 'iddah expires, while angry, and without remembering the intention, count? And are phrases such as "I'm tired" or "that's it" considered allusions to divorce without the intention of effecting it, especially with the presence of obsessive thoughts?

If divorce is written with intent and full awareness, it is effective, even if done in a state of anger, unless the anger completely deprives one of awareness. The number of divorces that occur depends on the intention of the one pronouncing it, or on the written divorce formula. If it is written "You are divorced, you are divorced, you are divorced," then three divorces have occurred, and a new contract with her is not valid unless she marries someone else with a valid intention, and then is divorced by him or he dies. However, if it is written "You are divorced, divorced, divorced," then only one divorce has occurred, and a contract with her is valid after her 'iddah (definition) (waiting period). This is the view of the majority of scholars, in contrast to Ibn Taymiyyah, who holds that only one divorce occurs in both cases. As for allusive expressions of divorce, divorce does not occur by them except with intention. And words that do not carry the meaning of divorce do not effect divorce, even if intended. One must be cautious of obsessive thoughts regarding matters of divorce.
