Permissions (rukhsahs) are what has been established contrary to a legal proof due to a prevailing counter-argument. Examples include a traveler breaking their fast, performing tayammum when water is unavailable, and eating carrion for the one in dire necessity. And Allah loves that His permissions be utilized; meaning, He loves that a Muslim takes advantage of the legal permissions He has granted to His servants out of mercy for them. This emphasizes the legitimacy of these permissions and encourages their acceptance. Among what falls under this is acting upon what is stated in the Hadith regarding shortening prayers during travel: "It is a charity that Allah has bestowed upon you, so accept His charity."

The creed of the Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah is to affirm what Allah has affirmed for Himself of names and attributes, and what His Prophet has affirmed for Him, without assimilation (tashbeeh) or anthropomorphism (tamtheel), and without inquiring into the 'how' (takyeef) or negating (ta'teel). Thus, we affirm that Allah loves and dislikes, is pleased and is angered, as stated in the sacred texts, in a manner befitting Allah's majesty and greatness.
