Is it necessary to check daily upon waking to ensure the emission of semen?

What is obligatory upon a servant is what Allah Almighty has made obligatory in His Book or what His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, has made obligatory in his Sunnah. There is no evidence from the Book or the Sunnah that obliges a person to inspect himself upon waking from sleep to determine whether he is in a state of janabah (ritual impurity) or not.
