The discharge that exits a woman is of two types: discharge from the urinary meatus, which is ritually impure (najis), and vaginal discharge from the uterus, which is ritually pure (tahir). Both types invalidate ablution (wudu') but do not necessitate a ritual bath (ghusl). As for semen (maniy), it is characterized by its yellow color and a smell resembling palm spathe or dough. Its emission is accompanied by pleasure and desire, followed by a weakening (of desire). It is not rubbed off due to its thinness. If semen is emitted during sleep or wakefulness due to desire, it necessitates a ritual bath (ghusl). If you are uncertain about the type of discharge, you may consider it either semen or regular discharge.
