What is the ruling on remaining in a job that allows one to perform prayers and Sunnah acts on time, while the family rejects this and demands another job with a higher salary, even though it conflicts with performing prayers and Sunnah acts on time?

If leaving one's current job in obedience to parents leads to neglecting prayers or performing them outside their prescribed times, then it is impermissible to leave the current job, because "there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to Allah." However, if the alternative job does not cause prayers to be performed outside their times, but merely delays them from their earliest time or necessitates praying outside the mosque, then the advice is to obey the parents, because obedience to them is more emphasized than performing some recommended acts. Moreover, it is not a condition to perform the pre- and post-prayer Sunnah (supererogatory) prayers at home; they can be made up. If the parents' sustenance is obligatory, and this job compromises it, then one must seek another job that does not conflict with performing prayers at their prescribed times.
