Is it permissible to say "Ya Rasool Allah"?

The phrase "Ya Rasool Allah" (O Messenger of Allah) has four situations:

First: To intend seeking his help (istighatha), and this is shirk (polytheism) because it is supplicating to other than Allah regarding something that only Allah is capable of.

Second: To intend seeking intercession (tawassul), which is of three types: - Intercession through faith in him and following him: This is permissible during his lifetime and after his death. - Intercession through his supplication: This is permissible during his lifetime, but not after his death. - Intercession through his status and standing: This is not permissible, neither during his lifetime nor after his death.

Third: To call upon him to send prayers and salutations upon him; this is desirable (mustahabb).

Fourth: To call upon him as a lament (nudbah), mentioning his virtues or what happened after his loss; this is permissible as long as it is not accompanied by raising the voice in crying or tearing garments, which is the forbidden wailing (niyaha).
