Are the sciences and books authored in Sharia and exegesis considered to be distant from the Quran, and is it sufficient to limit oneself to the Book and the Sunnah only?

The words of this person are false. Scholars wrote books of exegesis to clarify the rulings of the Qur'an and to explain the Book and the Sunnah (definition). Allah has commanded us to refer to them, for they are the ones who understand from Allah and His Messenger, as stated in His Almighty saying: "And if they had referred it to the Messenger and to those in authority among them, then the ones who can draw conclusions from it would have known it" and His saying: "So ask the people of the Reminder if you do not know." The Companions asked the Messenger about what was unclear to them in the Qur'an. So how can we not need the books of scholars when foreignness and ignorance have spread? This statement is either ignorance or an attempt to divert people from the Book and the Sunnah, for scholars regulate people's understanding, and referring to them is even more important in our time. The Qur'an being made easy for remembrance does not contradict this, for scholars clarify the ways it is made easy and negate from it the distortion of the extremists. The people of innovation and the Khawarij deviated by interpreting the verses of the Qur'an out of their proper context. There is no refutation of their errors except by referring to the scholars well-grounded in knowledge. Therefore, one must be cautious of these false claims that demolish the fundamentals of religion.
