Why did the Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him, curse the non-Arabs of Persia and Rome? Is the mentioned hadith reliable? Is the Arab Muslim better than the non-Arab Muslim? Were there non-Arab Companions?

In Islam, distinctions based on color, gender, and lineage are not considered. The differentiation between people is based on faith and piety, as Allah has removed the arrogance of Jahiliyyah (the pre-Islamic era of ignorance). People are of two kinds: a righteous, pious person who is honorable in the sight of Allah, or a wicked, wretched person who is insignificant in the sight of Allah. All human beings were created from dust. There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab, nor of a red-skinned person over a black-skinned person, except through piety. The Sharia has stipulated that "people are equal like the teeth of a comb." Among the Companions were non-Arabs, such as Bilal al-Habashi and Salman al-Farisi, and it was mentioned in the Hadith: "If faith were suspended from the Pleiades, men from among these (Persians) would reach it." Thus, an Arab Muslim is not superior to a non-Arab Muslim merely because of his Arab identity; rather, they are distinguished by piety and righteous deeds. The Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah (Sunni mainstream) have agreed upon the superiority of Arab identity over other ethnicities, but the preference for Arab identity is a preference of a category, not individuals. A pious and righteous non-Arab is better than an Arab who falls short in fulfilling Allah's rights.
