What is the ruling on working in a job where corruption and bribery are widespread, while being unable to change this wrongdoing or leave the job?

The asker does not incur sin if he does not engage in bribery, for responsibility is personal. Allah Almighty says: "And whoever earns sin, he earns it only against himself," and "And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another." And he must change the evil to the best of his ability without harm, for Allah Almighty says: "So fear Allah as much as you are able," and "Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity."
