Will a Muslim be rewarded for saving a fly from drowning in water, and what is the evidence?

Islam is a religion of mercy and benevolence. Allah commanded benevolence in all things, and the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah has prescribed benevolence in everything," and "There is a reward for every wet liver." Therefore, saving the life of any living creature, even an insect, earns a Muslim reward if it is done seeking the countenance of Allah.
