How is zakat on bees paid, taking into account honey and bee colonies?

There is a difference of opinion regarding Zakat on honey. Abu Hanifa and Ahmad are of the view that it is obligatory. Its nisab (minimum taxable amount) according to the Hanbalis is ten afraq (approximately 75.2 kg), while the Hanafis deem it obligatory on both small and large quantities of honey. Both schools of thought agree that what is due on it is one-tenth.
