If the wife feels safe in her home in the absence of her husband, there is no harm in her staying there, and the husband does not have the right to prevent her from doing so. It is preferable for the dwelling to be among righteous neighbors to ensure the safety of the wife and her property. It is hoped that understanding will prevail between the spouses, that they will avoid causes of dispute, and that the wife will be keen to have someone from her Mahrams, female relatives, or friends to keep her company.
