What is the ruling of the Sharia on the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs installing televisions with a digital receiver (parabol) in mosques to watch religious programs?

Television and satellite receivers are devices that can be used for good or for evil. The ruling on acquiring and using them is permissible if their use is limited to good and permissible things, such as showing beneficial scientific programs and religious lectures, and avoiding forbidden things. If the device is placed in a room annexed to the mosque for listening to religious lessons, that is preferable, out of consideration for those who wish to recite the Quran or perform supererogatory prayers inside the mosque.
