Is it permissible to pray in mosques that have introduced televisions for the purpose of disseminating knowledge, especially the Friday prayer?

The television is a device that can be used for good or for evil. There is no harm in owning it and using it for good. It is permissible to bring it into the mosque if there is a recognized benefit in doing so. However, it is preferable to place it in a room affiliated with the mosque so that it does not interfere with the worshippers' acts of devotion, such as reciting the Qur'an and performing prayers.
