Is it permissible to perform Friday Prayer in a place used at night for watching television, given the existence of a small mosque that is not large enough for Friday Prayer?

If the small mosque cannot accommodate the worshipers for Friday prayer, it is permissible to perform it in another place, because the mosque is not a condition for the validity of Friday prayer. Al-Nawawi and Al-Shawkani explicitly stated the permissibility of establishing it outside the mosque, such as in an open courtyard within the village. The presence of a television in the place where Friday prayer is performed at night does not invalidate its soundness, but the officials should be advised not to allow the viewing of anything that angers Allah, in compliance with His saying, the Almighty: "Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their private parts."
