Is it permissible to pray in a room where someone is watching television with low volume, and the program only shows people in modest clothing?

It is disliked to pray in a place that distracts and occupies the worshiper, such as an open television, based on what was reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding his prohibition of praying towards anything that distracts, such as the two horns (of a ram), or behind speakers and sleepers. Al-Shafi'i and Ahmad disliked praying behind speakers because of the worshiper's distraction by their speech. Similarly, it is disliked to pray in a garment that has images, a cross, or anything distracting.

If a Muslim prays in a place with a television, its content might suddenly change. Therefore, the worshiper should choose a place where nothing distracts him. If he prays in such places, and it does not distract him, then there is no harm. But if it distracts him, then it is disliked, though his prayer is valid.
