What is the ruling on praying in a house where music is heard from the television, or in a place where some do not adhere to covering their 'awrah?

Prayer in the aforementioned places is valid, due to the generality of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The earth has been made for me a place of prayer and purification." A Muslim should enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, and distance himself from what distracts him in prayer, especially if it is forbidden, like music. Prayer in a place where Allah is disobeyed is valid, though it is disliked.
