What is the ruling on buying comic books?

Comic books have two scenarios: If the stories are forbidden, such as tales of love and romance, then they are unlawful both in terms of their depiction and the nature of the stories. However, if the stories are not forbidden and contain a legitimate benefit, such as educating or entertaining children, then there is no harm in them or in their hand-drawn illustrations, provided that the images themselves are not forbidden, such as images of women.
