Is it permissible to open a billiard hall, and is the profit derived from it lawful or unlawful?

Playing billiards is impermissible if it involves money, as it then becomes gambling. However, if it is free from gambling, several conditions must be observed: it must not distract from the remembrance of Allah and the obligatory prayers; the players must adhere to Islamic teachings, avoiding dispute, cursing, and cheating; and it must have a benefit or utility, not merely be a waste of time. If these conditions are met, then playing it is permissible. As for opening a billiard hall, it is permissible if these conditions can be met, such as closing the hall at prayer times, obliging players to pray, and preventing gambling and cursing; otherwise, it is not permissible.
