Is there a legal basis for wiping the hands from the back of the head to the front after the adhan has ended?
What is prescribed when hearing the Adhan is for the listener to repeat what the Muezzin says, then to send blessings upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and to ask Allah for him the Wasila. And whoever recites the supplication after the Adhan: "O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the standing prayer, grant Muhammad Al-Wasila and Al-Fadila, and raise him to the praised station which You promised him," the intercession of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, will be granted to him on the Day of Resurrection. As for wiping the head when hearing the Adhan, there is no evidence for it, and such an act should not be considered an act of worship without evidence from the Sunnah.
